Obama (pbuh) gaffes...

Okay, so Obama makes a "Special Olympics" joke about his bowling... blah blah blah... no big deal. It was an honest mistake and no big deal (though part of a pattern of saying dumb things). My favorite part of this article is at the very end, though:

Despite making fun of his score, the president appears to be getting better the more he visits the White House lanes, which President Truman installed in 1947. During a campaign photo op a year ago at a bowling alley in Altoona, Pa., he rolled only a 37 in seven frames. The clip of the disastrous game was replayed on late night television shows such as Leno’s — one of Obama’s few campaign gaffes.

Ha! ha! ha! ha! I can think of some off the top of my head, like the 57 state one. I've seen plenty of others. The truth is it was one of his few campaign gaffes that was actually discussed by the media. I guess they thought that being bad at bowling would make him more accessible or more human. His other gaffes all got ignored by the fawning media.

But seriously... being bad at bowling isn't even a campaign gaffe. Nobody is good at everything and nobody expects the President to be good at all games and sports... another reason why this was mentioned. It's like they're saying, "Look! Even his gaffes weren't really gaffes! He's SOOOO cool." This reporter probably writes "Obama" with a big heart for the "O".
